How to help
The last few years, we have seen so much growth happening in the Oaklyn Foundation. We have shipped our weighted bears to several different states. We are so thankful for our generous donors who open their hearts to funding our foundation.
Weighted Bears
Our Oaklyn Foundation Weighted Bears provide a huge sense of comfort after the loss of a child. These bears are hand-made by mothers who have experienced loss themselves and are prayed over before being shipped out. Each bear is unique in the fact that it weighs the same as the infant lost and can be made anywhere from 1/2lb-10lbs.
Our Oaklyn Foundation Bears cost between $50-$65 to make not including the shipping cost. Due to the high cost of shipping, we require a donation of $20 to help assist in this cost. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and ensures that we are able to continue to provide the services needed for grieving families. Care Packages
Our care packages are put together based on the family's needs and the type of loss they are experiencing. Our prayer is that this care package brings some hope to the grieving family and helps them to feel that they are not alone during this painful journey.
The Oaklyn Foundation tries to help as many families as possible throughout the year and runs solely on donations given. Our care packages cost $50. Costs may vary depending on the materials we have on hand at the time of the request. In order to help us serve as many families as possible, a minimum donation of $20 is required to request a care package at this time to cover shipping and handling costs.
